Acceptable Use Policy

Draft pending legal review. This text may change before it is final.

To keep Txting, our carriers and everyone's phone numbers in good standing, you may not use the service to:

  • text anyone without the consent the law and carrier rules require, including purchased, rented or scraped lists;
  • keep texting someone who asked to stop, in any words;
  • send marketing texts outside the hours allowed where the recipient is (the app's blast hours help with this);
  • send content about cannabis, illegal drugs, firearms sales, gambling, adult content, high-risk loans or debt relief, or other content carriers prohibit;
  • send phishing, fraud, impersonation, malware or deceptive links, or hide who you are;
  • harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
  • get around carrier filtering, rotate numbers to avoid blocks ("snowshoeing"), or use link shorteners that hide the destination;
  • break any law, or interfere with or probe the service's security.

Every business must identify itself in its messages and provide a way to opt out. We may pause sending, suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and we cooperate with carriers and law enforcement investigating abuse.

Report abuse to the support address shown in the app.
